BE ALERT – FERAL CATS ARE NOT USED TO CARS

We have many dead cats next to the road, hit by cars. Many of them from our feral colonies sadly. These cats are not used to cars as your domestic cat might be! Please drive carefully and be aware of your surrounding.

The problem is this…… Intact males and females roam as the females are in heat now (this happens at least 3 times a year). Males travel up to 10km in search for a female.

When they get to her and more males are present, they fight. They are in such a focused state that they aren’t aware of their surroundings and people do not slow down, thinking they will run off, which they don’t.

Females run from aggressive males as well and into traffic sometimes.

People need to spay and neuter their own pets and we as organizations need support to Trap-Neuter-Release these feral beauties, which will help with this problem! #tnrsaveslives
